- Nonunion of femoral neck fracture, leading to fracture of dynamic hip screw.
Findings
- Fracture of the large lag screw of the dynamic hip screw (black arrow).
- Ununited fracture line in left femoral neck (white arrow).

Brief Discussion
Orthopaedic hardware does not fracture without reason. The usual reason
is excessive motion about the fracture site, which may be due to an ununited
fracture.
